2020 Ford EcoSport vs. 2020 Mazda CX-3
Both the EcoSport and CX-3 are available in a variety of trim levels. The Ford comes in four grades: S, SE, SES, and Titanium. Three versions of the Mazda – including GX, GS, and GT – are available.
Design
Deciding between the EcoSport and CX-3 on looks alone is nearly impossible. Each of the SUVs offers modern styling, attractive wheel options, and a bold front grille. But the Ford distinguishes itself with the available SES Black Appearance package. Included in the bundle, you’ll find a black-painted roof, a black hood decal, and a blacked-out spoiler.

Performance
While the CX-3 has only one available engine option – a 2.5L four-cylinder (186 hp, 186 lb.-ft.) – the EcoSport provides two choices.
The first engine the Ford offers is an ultra-efficient EcoBoost 1.0L turbocharged three-cylinder (123 hp, 125 lb.-ft.). If you’re looking for a little more power, you can opt for the available 2.0L four-cylinder (166 hp, 149 lb.-ft.).
Both the EcoSport and the CX-3 come with a 6-speed automatic transmission and standard front-wheel-drive. All-wheel-drive is available on either of the SUVs.

Key standard features
The EcoSport has certain standard features that are either unavailable or only available as an upgrade on the CX-3.
